A couple of years ago we came across a profile on Instagram which showed some two or three paintings which where done on canvas but completely in Mohamed Hamida's style, posted after a long line of other paintings in different styles. Obviously the owner of the account had found something new.
Yesterday we came across the same painter's profile again. All other previous paintings had left the place. The painter had been very busy lately. The account was full with masses of pictures of paintings in exactly that particular Mohamed Hamida style. The man had found his place in the art world.
To be truthful: We like his work and his ideas shown in the paintings. Mohamed Hamida feels honoured when other artists appreciate his style.
No, we don't tell you the name of the copycat.
