DIFFICULT TIMES IN THE MIDDLE EAST

WHEN ONE MATCH REFUSES TO BURN the chain is broken.

This artwork speaks a timeless truth:

In a line of matches, it takes only one in the middle that refuses to ignite to break the chain.

Fire feeds on continuity, it grows when one spark follows another without interruption. But if a single match remains still - if it does not surrender to the flame - the sequence ends. The destruction pauses. The fire starves.

Today, here in Dubai, that metaphor feels painfully real. Missiles and drones cross the blue, innocent sky. What is shot at us is intercepted before it reaches the ground.

The fire is stopped midair. And in those moments, we witness something profound: a chain reaction is interupted, a spark is denied fuel, a flame that is refused what it needs to grow.

Conflict spreads the way fire does - one act ignites another, one strike answers the last, until escalation seems inevitable. And yet our all hope lives in interruption.

We hope that somewhere, someone chooses not to ignite, that the wise handling of the case continues, that the UAE rulers stay steadfast to not retaliate.

Thank you, UAE rulers, thank you, UAE military, for protecting us.
