JUST BEING SILLY

Writer: Leo the ThinkerLeo the Thinker

An art exhibition which took place in the US in 2017 made me laugh out loud. Animal art, animal art at its best! And the artworks might be expensive to acquire. Let's talk about a famous chimp, a chimp with the amount of talent worth an exhibition !

I'm talking about "BUBBLES", the chimpanzee once owned by late showstar and singer Michael Jackson. Older people may still remember him, that nicely dressed chimp and companion of the popstar.

Bubbles was adopted by Michael Jackson in the 1980s and lived at Neverland Ranch with him until he became too big to handle. He was often seen in public with Jackson and became a media sensation.

So the story goes, in 2017, that good old Bubbles had created beautiful paintings.

This adds an interesting context to the idea of "APE ART" being priceless.

Given Bubbles' association with Michael Jackson, any artwork created by him could indeed be considered valuable by collectors or fans. The uniqueness of art created by a chimp, combined with the celebrity connection, could potentially drive up the price significantly.

As nuts as things are in the art market, there is said to be a growing interest in art created by elephants, other primates, and even sea creatures like octopusses.

I asked AI to help me out and write something enlightening on this subject but I found the text just too NUTS to publish it here. Did anybody hear about this and how much such a painting is fetching in the market ? But the idea is great. Let struggling painters wear ape costumes from now on to be recognized.

Leo The Thinker wishes you a good day with fun and many laughters !
